The Super Y First 11 were announced and one of our youth affiliates, the West Florida Flames, was in the top 11 nationally for boys, girls and club rankings. This USL Soccer ranking orders the clubs and teams on a competitive and administrative basis. Well done West Florida Flames!

VSI Tampa Bay FC announced today the appointment of Clay Roberts as its director of soccer, with Roberts assuming the post in mid December.
Roberts has 10 years of experience as a professional soccer player with the Charlotte Eagles (USL PRO) and the Philadelphia KIXX (Major Indoor Soccer League), where he was also camp director and staff coach. Roberts, who attended Florida Southern College, was until recently the Director of Coaching at Brandon FC, a Tampa-area youth club.
VSI in 2013 will be operating four USL Soccer Franchises (PRO, PDL, W-League & Super 20's) in the Tampa Bay region and is looking to recruit people appropriately qualified to undertake the following positions:
Last week Jorge Zavala, or "Yoyo" to all who know him became the first VSI coach to cross the Atlantic and experience VSI soccer businesses on both sides of the pond.
Mark Hughes Manager of English Premiership Club Queen's Park Rangers and VSI mentor recently took time off to visit VSI Tampa Bay Flames.
Ian Wright, the legendary former England and Arsenal striker spent time this week in Tampa. Ian is an ambassador and mentor for VSI and is always keen to spend time with VSI's soccer teams and academy players.
