VSI's entry to the US youth market was through its association with Brandon Flames FC (Brandon), being a major youth soccer organization in the Tampa region. As part of the developing relationship with VSI, Brandon has since merged with West Florida Premier Soccer Club and now boasts a combined membership of 5,000+ youngsters.

The merged teams operate under the VSI West Florida Flames name, serving the Greater Tampa Bay Area and along with the VSI USL franchises provides a vertically integrated pyramid for player development and progression which mirrors VSI's slogan "Soccer as it should be".
